OWNERSHIP HAS ITS BENEFITS

First and foremost the Saginaw Bay Youth Athletic Organization (SBYAO) and the Saginaw Bay Riverdawgs would like to thank Tom Merkle and Mark Krzysiak for their vision that started Peak Performance Baseball and eventually the Saginaw Bay Riverdawgs over ten years ago. Since that time, they have run a facility that has helped teach the intricacies of the game of baseball to interested youth in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

As of Monday, September 9, 2019 the SBYAO has secured the rights to run the location formerly known as Peak Performance Baseball. While both Tom and Mark will be continuing with lessons at their own pace, SBYAO is fortunate enough to be able to work with them to secure the location and equipment to run this facility. While details are still being worked out, SBYAO is aiming to continue the operation of the facility in its current state with the trainers present, as well as offering the flexibility to offer more time to the Saginaw Bay Riverdawgs baseball and softball teams for practices and team expansion.

This is a very big step for the Saginaw Bay Riverdawgs in maintaining a consistent home for our teams to work on hitting and pitching fundamentals during the Winter months, as well as providing direct access to some of the top trainers in the area. Look for more information in the coming months on the facility. Go Dawgs!

I have been playing and coaching softball for over 20 years. I played school and travel softball in the Mount Pleasant area through high school. I also began instructing at pitching clinics in Mount Pleasant while I was in high school. I have continued to grow my passion and knowledge for the sport of fast pitch softball while instructing area athletes. My focus is to grow a strong, confident female athlete with amazing fundamentals who can perform at the highest level they desire.
